  • The urgent need for systemic change.
  • The challenges with our current model.
  • The collective benefits of adopting a mindful approach to decision-making.
  • The collective benefits of embracing and integrating sustainable principles as a strategic priority.

MODEL

Our illustration of Sustainable Leadership captures the three core elements for Sustainable Civilization in a conceptual relationship.

At the foundation or base of this civilization is “Purpose”, the mandate responsibilities of us as a species, institutions, and individuals. At the heart of the “Purpose” element is “Delivery of the Social Contract”. When individuals and institutions lose sight of focus, successful outcomes are compromised.

The second and central element is “Process”. Effective and efficient systems, procedures, and operations are essential to the implementation of new strategies and policies. Our operating systems must be flexible enough to respond to the ever-changing landscape, and robust enough to maintain acceptable performance levels during periods of transformation..

At the Top is the focus element of our model. “People”. The reason we pursue civilization is for “the well-being of the people”. We are at a point in history where the survival of our entire species is under threat. The scope, scale, and urgency of this challenge demand that our sustainability be the top priority of every strategic plan and political manifesto.

People are also at the center of our problems and our solutions. All people stand to suffer but only a few people have access to influence and lead the necessary changes.
